shopgirljoanOn Saturday it was the Best Beer Festival Ever, Barrow Hill!

Best thing about the day beer wise was a 6.8% IPA. No you did not misread that. It kicked arse!

Gronk at the other end. We had three rides on the train!

Then it was getting pretty expensive so we went back into Chsterfield

We found this really old pub!
Love the window! It had a good pink of Jaipur IPA, though they pissed me off by playing that annoying James Blunt song twice. At least they played Adele too which was nice though.
Then it was a pitstop in Nottingham, and home:)
On Sunday we didn't have much money left, so we got all Domestic!
After a tense morning in the pub (I don't want to hear your wank fantasies about shooting the underclss, sorry for being such a bore :P) we went back to mine with a few tinnies from the Polish shop and made these:
Potato latkes, traditional Jewish recipie! We used this one
It took rather a long time to do because grating a ton of potatoes is harder work than it looks. Also you don't realise just how much fucking water there is in a potato until you try and grate it. Jeeze! But eventually we ended up troughing and ate the whole lot (the recipie was supposed to be for four people!
Resounding success all round!
While we ate we listened to music on youtube, he chooses a song then I choose a song etc. I'm not sure if you can see in the pic but he's got Led Zeppelin on there. Hmmmm.
Later he went home and I had another couple of tinnies and veged out. Fun times!
I'm still sick (cold and cough now) but never mind. It can't last forever right?
